Digital Surgeons is a creative consultancy and full-service digital marketing agency for brands that are forward-obsessed and looking to spark new ways to drive demand for their business. We’re headquartered in our very own technology & innovation campus in New Haven called District, and our work has been featured in TechCrunch, Forbes, and The Webby Awards to name a few.

The Client Leader will operate on multiple levels, both internally and externally, to supervise, lead and develop the work and ensure positive outcomes for their assigned clients. Success will be measured by client retention and satisfaction, client business growth for DS, and reaching team goals.

What You’ll Do

Agency Leadership

  • Be an agency role model on what it means to be a curious, proactive, productive and strategically minded brand team lead and client partner
  • Set the standard for how we build growth-oriented, trusting client relationships that go beyond scope of an existing project and build hunger for breakthrough strategies and ideas
  • Partner with Client Leadership peers to make proactive recommendations to agency leadership (and own implementation in some cases) on departmental matters such as growth opportunities, job rotations, training, morale, etc.
  • Partner with strategic, creative, media and technology leaders to create business-generating and award-winning work for our clients
  • Facilitate and promote Agency initiatives inside and outside the building as a true business ambassador including helping to recruit exceptional talent in all functions and leveraging relationships to develop new business prospects
  • Exude the charisma and savvy required to build followers inside and outside of Digital Surgeons

Client Engagement & Organic Growth

  • Be the undisputed expert on your clients’ business, its drivers of profitability, the competitive environment, the issues and opportunities for the category and the politics of the client organization
  • Develop and manage productive, growth oriented client relationships (inclusive of senior-level/C-Suite clients) through thought leadership, client / category expertise and consistent delivery of great work. These relationships should include both long-term strategic AOR relationships as well as shorter term project based opportunities.
  • In partnership with strategy and creative peers define growth opportunities, set the agenda for the account and deliver plans across the clients managed.
  • Responsible for delivering organic account growth as well as client satisfaction and retention by identifying clients’ share/stakeholder success metrics and developing and executing marketing programs that deliver business results that meet/exceed these metrics
  • Develop and execute client engagement strategy(ies) in collaboration with cross-functional peers
  • Continually protect the best interest of the agency’s financials including resourcing, cost management, proactive investments, etc.
  • Ensure practices within our team are professional, timely and in the best interest of Digital Surgeon’s reputation

Qualifications

5-7 years of Account in an integrated marketing and/or digitally led marketing capacity
Experience in multi-channel, integrated work that demonstrates his/her versatility as a marketer
Experience Leading clients and internal cross-functional agency teams
Understand the basics of legal and agency finance
Interest and understanding of how to manage & execute a client scope of work
Strong aptitude for the role and impact of digital media and platforms
Exposure to a diverse range of industry category verticals and client life-stages from start-ups to mature brands

Benefits

This is a full-time position, eligible for enrollment in the Company’s benefits program including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, and 401k.

Salary Range: 

$70,000-$90,000 + DOE
